How to add a new email account to your cell phone

1. Download and open the Gmail app.

2.  In the top right, tap your profile picture.

3. Tap Add Another Account.

4. Choose the Google account type.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

How to add a new email icon onto your phone home screen

For Android:

1. Locate the Gmail app.

2. Long press on the app until a list of emails appear.

3. Long press on the email you want to add to your home screen until an icon appears.

4. Move the app where you want it and release your finger.

NOTE: It's best to have an icon for your personal and work email, so you are able to easily transition between them.

For iPhone:

1. On your iPhone, touch and hold the home screen.

2. In the top left, tap Add.

3. Tap the Gmail app.

4. Tap Add Widget.

5. Place the widget on your home screen.

6. Tap Done.

To switch accounts on the iPhone widget

1. On your iPhone, touch and hold the Gmail app widget.

2. Tap Edit > Switch account.

3. Select the account you want to use.

To switch accounts in the Gmail app

For both Android and iPhone users:

1. In the Gmail app, go to the upper right hand corner and click on the profile picture.

2. Select the account you want to use.
