Getting Started:
Currently enrolled students can request a laptop by completing a Grayson Cares Referral. Laptop quantities are limited and not guaranteed.
Acknowledgement of Responsibility Agreement:
You understand that the items assigned to you are on loan from Grayson College. You agree to return all items in the condition received, normal wear and tear excepted. You understand that you will be financially responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items and that unpaid fees may prevent me from enrolling or receiving official records.
You acknowledge that you are responsible for returning all checked items by the due date. If you need to extend the loan period, you agree to return all items in person to request an extension.
Check-Out
Please submit a Grayson Cares Referral to request a laptop.
- If a laptop is available, the Grayson Cares team will schedule a laptop pickup time through the referral (ticket). After your appointment has been scheduled please visit Grayson Cares, Counseling and Social Services Office on the 2nd floor of the Life Center to pick up the assigned loan laptop.
- If a laptop is not available, your referral (ticket) will remain "On Hold" until the next available laptop is ready.
A Grayson Cares team member will provide you with an assigned laptop. Laptops are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Laptops will be issued 1 week before the first day of class in the current term.
Due Dates & Past Due Fees
The laptop assigned to you must be returned to Grayson Cares, Counseling and Social Services Office on the 2nd floor of the Life Center by the due date to avoid any late issues.
Please check your Vikings student email address for notifications when your laptop Due Date is approaching.

Check-In
Please return the assigned laptop to Grayson Cares, Counseling and Social Services Office on the 2nd floor of the Life Center.
A Grayson Cares team member will send the laptop to the Grayson College IT department for damage assessment.
In Repair
The Grayson College IT department will evaluate the laptop for missing parts and damages.
Closed - No Damages
If the laptop has been assessed as No Damages: The laptop will return to the Grayson Cares laptop "Inventory" for reassignment.
Closed - Damaged
If the laptop has been assessed as Damaged or Missing Parts: The student will be notified of damages/missing parts and the associated fees.
The Grayson College Business Office will place a HOLD on the student account and contact the student to collect damage/missing part fees.
