Changes to Student Accounts:
Grayson College has enforced Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA / 2FA) on student accounts.
Getting Started:
What is Multi-Factor Authentication or Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-factor authentication (MFA or 2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account login by requiring two types of authentication. Mobile phone 2FA has become the industry standard, as most people carry their mobile phones at all times.
Grayson College only supports Google Authenticator for student accounts.
- Does not apply to employee accounts. Employees are encouraged use Duo Mobile.

Troubleshooting:
Fix common issues with Google 2-Step Verification
- Lost or stolen phone
- If you have another second step
- If you don’t have another second step or forgot your password
- Require a security key as your second step
- You didn't get a verification code
- My Google Authenticator codes don’t work
- If you encounter other issues, such as a code not working, try restarting your device. Also, chech the time on your device to ensure it is accurate. Time discrepancies can cause codes to be invalid.
