NOTE: If you already have Microsoft 365 installed, there is no need to reinstall it. Just sign in using your Grayson College email and you're all set!

If you have any other version of Microsoft Office installed, you must uninstall it and install Office 365 from within the MyViking portal link.

1. Login to your MyViking and click on the "Office 365" icon (Enter student email address, if prompted)

2. Click on the "Install and more" drop down menu in the top right corner. Click on "Install Microsoft 365 apps"

3. Click on "Apps & devices" along the left navigation menu. Click on the orange "Install Office" button

4. Once download has completed go to the downloads in the top right corner of your screen and double-click on OfficeSetup.exe (the name might vary slightly)

5. If you see the prompt that says, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? select Yes. Then install will begin 

6. Once installed all Microsoft apps will be where your apps are or you can search for them using the Windows key

How to Install Microsoft 365 on a Mac

1. Login to your MyViking and click on the "Office 365" icon (Enter student email address, if prompted)

2. Click on the "Install and more" drop down menu in the top right corner. Click on "Install Microsoft 365 apps"

3. Click on "Apps & devices" along the left navigation menu. Click on the orange "Install Office" button

4. Once the download has completed, open "Finder", go to "Downloads", and double-click Microsoft_365_and_Office...BusinessPro_installer.pkg file (the name might vary slightly)

5. On the first installation screen, select Continue to begin the installation process

a. Review the software license agreement, and then click Continue

b. Select Agree to agree to the terms of the software license agreement

c. Choose how you want to install Microsoft 365 and click Continue

d. Review the disk space requirements or change your install location, and then click Install

e. Enter your Mac login password (the password you use to log in to your Mac), if prompted, and then click Install Software 

f. The software begins to install. Click Close when the installation is finished.

6. Go to where your apps are, either "Launchpad" or "Finder", and all of the Microsoft apps should be there

You can’t install the Windows desktop versions of Microsoft 365 on a Chromebook, but you can still access Microsoft 365 through MyViking.

NOTE: Make sure you are signed in to your Grayson College email address

1. To make sure you are signed into your school email account, click on the profile icon in the top right

2. If you are not signed in to your school email: Select "Work or school account" and sign in using your Grayson College email

NOTE: If you can't or don't want to download Microsoft 365, then you can still access it through the MyViking portal and a web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer).
