Getting Started:
First time users must claim the account before logging in. Please review the "Important: Differences between Portals" instructions below!
You only need a username and Claim Code to claim your account.

Google Authenticator: username
- Retired on 04/02/26.
- Claim My Account process required first name, last name, and student ID number.
- All applications.

Grayson Portal: username
- Claim My Account process requires username and "Claim Code".
- Check your personal email address for the Claim Code!
- If you've claimed your account previously, you will not need a claim code.
- Some applications within MyViking may be unavailable during the transition.
- "More Applications" app icon will redirect to additional applications.

Instructions:
- Check your personal email address and SPAM folder for an important email containing your Grayson College claim code and username.
- Unable to find your Claim Code? Contact Help Desk to obtain your Claim Code and username.
- Go to: https://www.grayson.edu
- Click on MyViking
- Enter your username
- Click Go
- Enter your username again
- Enter your Claim Code
- Click Go
- Create a Password (Review Password Requirements Below)
- Setup Challenge Questions and Help Desk Questions, click Next along the bottom
- Setup Google Authenticator
Password Requirements:
- Passwords must be a minimum of 10 characters in length, and contain 3 of the 4 requirements:
- 1 upper case character
- 1 lower case character
- 1 number
- 1 special character (example: ! @ # $ %, etc)
- Passwords cannot contain:
- Your first name
- Your last name
- Your date of birth
- Your username
- Repeated characters or a sequence of keyboard strokes (example: 1234, mmm888, or asdfg)
- A password you’ve used in the past
Troubleshooting:
If you receive an error message, please try the following instructions before claiming your account:
- Manually type the information and avoid using AutoFill or auto-populated information
- Clear your browser cache and cookies: Instructions
- Open a “new incognito window” in Google Chrome: Instructions
- Try logging in on a different device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc)
- Try a different browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc)
Where is my Claim Code?
The Claim Code is emailed to the personal email address associated with your account. Please check your SPAM folder for important emails from Grayson College containing your username and Claim Code.
